Beguiled by your cunning intent I sigh in ecstasy's haunting scent Whatever you dance is a seething delight I fall into your pleading light Where the rainbow of your body smiles Goes following my manly style Woman my most constant guide Into your fathomless sea I slide Your charms pervade the vacant air Eyes revealing everywhere Heart, original desire Undressed and nakedly entire Your ethereal weaving on the stage Rose petals on my open page Where my soul sleeps sublime Distracted from constraints of time I float within you disappearing And lose myself in goddess rings Where are you in the golden mist That clouds my mind with drowsy bliss Your dancing form is too sincere We all melt when you appear The stage is harried by your truth We faint and cry "Enough forsooth" Save us if you have our hearts We are drowning in your ballet's art You move beyond our human glance Alluring, sensual molten dance Our eyes agape to sense and see The wind that sways your willow tree Your mountain stream, your waterfall Cascade in ballet's diamond hall Richard Field June 2004 |
